With the IRMS Warehouse Management System supporting their operations, Danbury has seen a reduction in the need for physical inventorying (formally performed three times a year), increased inventory accuracy, improved operational efficiency with the introduction of radio frequency (RF) technology in their warehouses, automated shipping operations and ultimately improved customer service.

Integrated Warehousing Solutions, a leading provider of Supply Chain execution solutions, has been supporting MBI-Danbury Mint in their continued commitment to excellence and integrity - in their products, for their customers and employees, and to their suppliers - with the multi-site implementation of the IRMS Warehouse Management System. Danbury Mint is one of America's largest marketers of fine-quality porcelain and die-cast metal fine collectibles. Additionally they offer licensed products from organizations including Major League Baseball and the National Football League, and corporations such as Coca-Cola, General Motors, Pillsbury, and the Walt Disney Company.

Based in Norwalk, Connecticut, MBI-Danbury Mint manages warehouse and distribution operations through their own and several third-party facilities. Integrated Warehousing Solutions implemented the IRMS Warehouse Management System for Danbury Mint at two sites, including their central distribution center and a remote (third-party) warehouse, totaling 450,000 square feet. Using the IRMS Warehouse Management System, 100 users process an average of 30,000 orders per day, 5.5 million orders per year, for products such as sports memorabilia, porcelain plates, figurines, jewelry, die-cast replica vehicles, ornaments and more.

IRMS implementation for Danbury has included integration/interfacing with an Enterprise Host system, Material Handling systems with conveyors, Pitney Bowes Shipping system and CorVu for graphical Business Intelligence reporting.
