Integrated Warehousing Solutions has been supporting Great Neck Saw's 85-year commitment to quality with the implementation of the IRMS Warehouse Management System. Based in New York, Great Neck Saw began with a small hacksaw business in 1919, and grew to forge, stamp and mold their vision onto everything from hammers and screwdrivers to ratchet sets and tape measures. They have manufacturing plants in New York as well as Tennessee and the Pacific Rim, and a distribution center in Memphis, Tennessee.

Integrated Warehousing Solutions has implemented the IRMS Warehouse Management System at Great Neck Saw's 150,000-square foot Memphis facility, comprised of double-deep pallet racking and carton flow racks along with a conveyor sortation system. This relatively new facility houses more than 1,600 active SKUs, comprising the bulk of the company's wide-ranging tool line, including tools for the hardware and do-it-yourself markets as well as specialty and "loaner" automotive tools. The center ships goods daily to such notables as Sears-Craftsman, Snap-On Tools, Parts Plus and AutoZone.

Implementation of the IRMS Warehouse Management System for Great Neck Saw has included integration of IRMS to an AS/400-based Enterprise Host system, developed in-house and used as the company's international logistics solution. IRMS is used to facilitate inbound and outbound processes and for inventory management with interfaces to the Host primarily in connection with such functions as receiving, back orders and shipping. Operations at Great Neck are supported by 55 IRMS Warehouse Management System users, including 40 radio frequency (RF) operators.
