Implementation of IRMS at Lane has led the company to embrace a new "paperless environment" with the elimination of all hardcopy inventory documents and inventory forms. This has enabled Lane to achieve 100% shipping accuracy. At the same time, Lane has also been able to eliminate their customary year-end inventory write-off, having achieved 99.999% inventory accuracy.
Integrated Warehousing Solutions has been supporting Lane Automotive's passion for high-performance motorsports and commitment to providing their customers with top-quality, high-performance products, with the implementation of the IRMS Warehouse Management System at their central distribution facility. Lane, based in Watervilet, Michigan, is a world premier supplier of high-end, exclusive automotive tools, electronics, electrical performance parts and accessories. Their national distribution center and three divisions, Motor State Distributing, Allstar Performance, and Lane Collectables and Exact Detail, service the domestic and international marketplace, routinely shipping to clients in 20 countries.
Integrated Warehousing Solutions implemented the IRMS Warehouse Management System at Lane's 153,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center, housing more than 60,000 SKUs from up to 350 vendors. This operation is supported by 65 users, processing an average of 800 orders a day, 4.5 lines per order. IRMS implementation requirements for Lane included integration/interfacing to material handling systems, high-speed conveyers for sorting LTL and UPS orders, in-line scales, a shipping system and a graphical reporting Business Intelligence system (CorVu).
Implementation of IRMS at Lane has led the company to embrace a new "paperless environment" with the elimination of all hardcopy inventory documents and inventory forms.
