Our annual IRMS User Conference took place in Orlando at Progress Exchange, welcoming existing IRMS customers and potential new clients. Conference attendees were first introduced to company president, Carl Brewer (right), at Progress Software's general session, where he detailed Integrated Warehousing Solutions forward-looking adoption of Progress' new OpenEdge version 10 along with Microsoft .NET.

Introducing IRMS.NET At Integrated Warehousing Solutions own opening session, those present were among the first to see IRMS.NET, built using Progress OpenEdge 10 platform and Microsoft .NET. The new front end, demonstrated by Carl Brewer and company CTO, Joel Epstein, offers more streamlined navigation, greater efficiency, faster performance, and improved interoperability. In the future, customers can look forward to a .NET interface for the IRMS radio frequency (RF) application as well.

Offering Strategic Planning Along with improved products have come improvements in service. Conference attendees learned of Integrated Warehousing Solutions' One-to-One Strategic Planning from Robert Gomez, the company's Vice President of Client Solutions. Strategic Planning sessions enable clients to get even more out of their IRMS Warehouse Management System investment. The optional day-long sessions take place at client sites and culminate with a plan to help clients better achieve their strategic objectives. Customers then work together with Integrated Warehousing Solutions to further refine their IRMS operations.

Using Dashboards One way in which clients might refine their business operations with IRMS is with the use of Analytic Dashboards. As presented by Carl Brewer and Wayne Bettcher, Manager of Research & Development, Analytic Dashboards provide clients with what they really want: data visualization, graphical representation, greater customization and ad-hoc capability. New reporting features unveiled include: More advanced Infragistics presentation layer Greater array of graphics from which to choose Improved drill-down along with scaling and zooming Multi-datasource support Layering, labeling and annotation More advanced graphics capability

Analytic Dashboards

Leveraging Technology for Supply Chain Execution Speaking of analytics, following the Dashboard session was guest presenter, Greg Aimi of AMR Research. The company provides world class research and actionable advice, focusing on supply chain transformation, new product introduction, customer profitability, compliance, governance, and IT benefits realization. Mr. Aimi offered a high-level presentation, advising attendees on the how and why of supply chain execution in a demand-driven world by leveraging the latest in thinking and technology to shift to a market-driven paradigm, create a more agile supply chain network, and integrate customer-driven order fulfillment.
