RUSH TRANSCRIPT

THIS TRANSCRIPT IS BASED ON AN AUDIO RECORDING AND MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM.

Moderator: According to our next guest here's what you need for a successful supply chain: supply chain collaboration, operational execution, inventory visibility, and accuracy of both inventory and process.

Carl Brewer is President of Integrated Warehousing Solutions. He joins us now to tell us how to achieve these goals. Carl, welcome aboard.

Carl Brewer: Thank you.

Moderator: Now first of all, let's talk about supply chain collaboration. What makes that so critical?

Carl Brewer: What makes collaboration so critical more so than before with today's organizations is the need to trade and have visibility of real-time, accurate data. This is all really streaming out of a very old concept of Just in Time inventory, a manufacturing process: I only want it when I need it.

For organizations really in the competitive marketplace where event-based activity, visibility of inventory, consignment inventories, lowering costs, eliminating surpluses all really based and focused around the accurate, timely trading of data and information and communication between what used to be transactional-based organizations where now in the supply chain organizations are now acting more as trusted partners.

Moderator: When you first approach a client how do you assess what you can do to help?

Carl Brewer: Basically what we do is we come in and do a pain-and-gain operational review to understand what they're doing today and really evaluate their current operations, looking for inefficiencies within their operations that have built-in time cost or expense delays. And then, we streamline those operations through this technology framework, providing them with solutions against an event-based solution.

Moderator: At the end of the day, it all comes down to ROI with something like this. What kind of ROIs are your clients experiencing?

Carl Brewer: The majority of our clients are achieving, basically, a 100% ROI on their investment within the first year of running our application solutions. Because the basics and the foundations they all have in common is that the majority of your savings are from safety stock levels, labor and credit memos. And another foundation of visibility of current, accurate, real-time information. The majority of the organizations today are operating and making critical business decisions and strategic business decisions based on old data.

Moderator: Carl, how specifically is this helping industry?

Carl Brewer: Mostly, supply chain collaboration solutions are getting strong payback in manufacturing environments where you have an established supplier network and a consumer network, and just the trading of real-time, accurate information in those organizations is allowing them to cut out millions of dollars of surplus inventory within their operations.

Moderator: Thanks to Carl Brewer, President of Integrated Warehousing Solutions. You can reach them by phone at their Downers Grove, Illinois offices.
