At the RSS/RDN level, IRMS Emergency Management provides receipt, staging and storage of emergency drug stocks and other emergency supplies from the CDC's SNS Push Pack and is additionally extensible to handling other inventory, such as donated supplies. IRMS processes the Push Pack file, and automatically allocates medical supplies and equipment from the SNS to RDNs/PODs according to the nature of the event and what is known about the affected population - all in about 5 minutes.
