As long as inventory is not on hold -- inventory might be on "hold" because it was flagged for Quality Assurance, or a problem was noted upon receipt and an employee placed the hold from the RF -- it is available in IRMS the moment it is received.
In the event of backorders or cross-ties, IRMS informs Receiving personnel immediately and the orders may be |
released to the warehouse for backordered or cross-tied merchandise. This material can then be picked directly from the dock or a special backorder area, saving time by avoiding a needless Put Away operation.
