Warehouse managers release orders to the warehouse for Picking through the IRMS Desktop Order Manager. The Order Manager enables managers to see in real-time what work is available, and allocate that work in the most meaningful and efficient manner. This includes the ability to select and sort orders based on an operation's needs and priorities.

Additionally, IRMS speeds up the processing of emergency orders by "flagging" these orders for immediate handling. If there are flagged orders in the system when the Order Manager is accessed, a message is displayed indicating there are emergency orders waiting. When dropped to the floor for Picking, emergencies are then flagged as such on the RF console, alerting pickers to the priority orders.
