As part of day-to-day fulfillment, IRMS uses hot replenishments and bin top-offs to keep primary pick locations full. When Picking operations drive a forward picking location below its minimum, replenishments are triggered, directing warehouse personnel via RF to move merchandise from bulk areas to forward picking locations (or counter sales).

System auto e-mail alerts, available in real-time or batch mode, notify warehouse managers and optionally vendors when stock minimum re-order levels are reached. Additionally, online inquiries concerning item status can be made from any standard (POP3/IMAP) mail client, such as Microsoft Outlook, Netscape Mail, Eudora, etc., including cell phone and Web-based mail, allowing authorized users to verify real-time inventory levels in the warehouse... from anywhere.
