The IRMS Warehouse Management System provides conveyor system integration, including zone sorting for volume shipping and route management. The system supports many common shipping and delivery arrangements, such as Regional Distribution Center (RDC), hub and spoke, "milk run" and customer day-stop.

As part of route management, IRMS maintains shipping route, carrier and other such details, most often populating the data automatically from system tables with only occasional modification to take into account new information, such as ZIP code updates. Routes may be associated to carriers and shipping docks, including current assignment in real-time from the warehouse (i.e., actual carrier route occupying a dock) and default (carrier generally occupying a dock) detail.
