IRMS enables lot control, as well as serial number tracking, by item. Lot control items trigger IRMS to capture lot / serial numbers during inbound processing or inventory creation transactions. Tracking takes into account such factors as shelf life, user-configurable expiration date calculations and Shipping and Receiving thresholds.

Lot detail lookup is also available, including the quantity and location of lots, where they are found, and days until expiration. In addition, the system supports MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) definition by item, assigning the appropriate sheet, notifying warehouse Packing staff where the sheet is found, and whether or not it is required.
